Proven Home Remedies To Eliminate Stretch Marks .

Stretch marks has been a major concern for many Nigerians and indeed to many all over the world. There are so many causes of stretch marks-sudden gain or loss in weight, rapid growth, heredity factors, stress and changes in physical conditions.Stretch marks are formed in the dermis or middle layer of the skin when the connective tissue is “stretched” beyond the power of its flexibility due to rapid expansion or contraction of the skin. Stretch marks can make you feel self-conscious and uncomfortable about your appearance. Fortunately, there are several ways to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

Below are proven ways which basically involves procedures that you have to religiously carry out;

1) Use of Castor Oil;Castor oil, which is used in the treatment of a number of skin problems such as wrinkles, age spots, moles, dark spots, fine lines and pimples, can also be used to get rid of stretch marks.Apply some castor oil to the stretch marks and gently massage the area in circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes.Wrap the area with a thin, cotton cloth. Using a hot water bottle or a heating pad, apply some heat to the affected area for at least a half an hour.Repeat this process daily for a minimum of one month to notice positive results.

2) Use of Aloe Vera, Aloe vera is effective in the treatment of many skin problems. Its healing and soothing properties can be used to get rid of stretch marks. There are a couple of ways to apply it.You can directly rub aloe vera gel on the affected skin area, leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse the skin with lukewarm water.Another option is to make a mixture with one-fourth cup of aloe vera gel, oil from 10 vitamin E capsules and oil from five vitamin A capsules. Rub this mixture onto the skin until fully absorbed. Repeat this process daily.

3) Apply Egg Whites Eggs are a rich source of protein. For stretch marks, you want to use only the egg whites, which contain amino acids and proteins.Whip the whites of two eggs gently with a fork. Clean the affected skin area with water and then apply a thick layer of egg whites with a make-up brush.Allow the egg whites to dry completely and then rinse the area with cold water. Finally apply some olive oil on the skin to keep it moisturised. Repeat the process daily for at least two weeks and watch for positive results.

4) Rub, don't drink Lemon Juice Another simple way to lessen stretch marks is to use lemon juice. Lemon juice is naturally acidic which helps heal and reduce stretch marks, acne, and other scars.Rub fresh lemon juice gently onto the stretch marks using circular motions. Allow the lemon juice to soak into your skin for at least 10 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.Another option is to mix equal quantities of cucumber juice and lemon juice and apply the mixture on the stretch marks.

5) White Sugar is good!Natural white sugar is one of the best remedies to get rid of stretch marks. You can use the sugar to exfoliate your skin.Mix a tablespoon of raw sugar with some almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix it well and apply it on the stretch marks and other skin areas.Gently rub the mixture on the skin for a few minutes every day before taking a shower.Do this for a month or so and watch your stretch marks become lighter.

6) Apply Potato Juice Potato juice contains vitamins and minerals that foster growth and restoration of skin cells.Cut a medium-sized potato into thick slices.Take one of the potato pieces and rub it gently on the stretch marks for a few minutes. Make sure the starch from the potato covers the affected area.Allow the potato juice to dry for some time and then wash it off with lukewarm water.7) Avoid Palm kennel cake oil;You wont now, but most of the oil you use are not healthy. They are dangerous because they contain unsaturated fats. If you can’t avoid oil or fries, then use heart friendly ones.

Pope fires gay priest from Vatican after publicly coming out

The Catholic Church on Saturday fired a high-ranking Vatican official after he revealed to an Italian newspaper that he was gay and has a male partner.
In an interview published Saturday, Monsignor Krzysztof Charamsa, 43, a Polish theologian who worked in the Hole See press office, told Italian newspaper Corriere della-Sera that he was gay and proud of his sexuality, Reuters reported.
Mr. Charamsa was also booted from his jobs teaching theology at pontifical universities in Rome. He had worked at the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith, the Vatican’s doctrinal arm, since 2003. In an interview Mr. Charasma  said
“I want the Church and my community to know who I am: a gay priest who is happy, and proud of his identity. I’m prepared to pay the consequences, but it’s time the Church opened its eyes, and realized that offering gay believers total abstinence from a life of love is inhuman,”
Mr. Charasma also held a news conference with his partner and other gay activists at a Rome restaurant. They had planned a demonstration in front of the Vatican but changed the venue several hours before it was scheduled to start.
In a statement the Vatican said the dismissal had nothing to do with Mr. Charasma’s coming out, but was prompted by the timing of his statement, which came a day before an important papal meeting, called a synod, on family matters and how to engage with the gay community.
Rev. Federico Lombardi, who serves as the director of the Holy See press office, said Mr. Charamsa’s “decision to make such a pointed statement on the eve of the opening of the synod appears very serious and irresponsible, since it aims to subject the synod assembly to undue media pressure,” the official Vatican News Network reported.
At the news conference, Charamsa said he wanted to make
“an enormous noise for the good of the Church” and apply “good Christian pressure”

on the synod not to forget homosexual believers.
“This decision of mine to come out was a very personal one taken in a Catholic Church that is homophobic and very difficult and harsh (towards gays),” he said, Reuters reported.
The firing comes as the Vatican struggles with its relationship with the gay community after it was revealed that Pope Francis held a private meeting with Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses following the Supreme Court’s legalization of same-sex marriages across the U.S.

Jonathan spent N64bn on independence anniversaries – El-Rufai

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, has hail President Muhammadu Buhari for budgeting N70m for the Independence Day anniversary.
El-Rufai noted in a Facebook post on Thursday that under former President Goodluck Jonathan, the Federal Government spent billions every year on Independence Day.
He noted that between 2011 and 2014, Jonathan spent over N64bn celebrating Independence Day.
Curiously, in 2010 Jonathan budgeted N10bn for Nigeria’s golden jubilee celebration.
He wrote, “This is the APC/PMB change we voted for. Independence anniversary expenditure for the past five years: 2011 – N13bn; 2012 -N15bn; 2013 – N14bn; 2014 – N22bn; 2015 -N70m"
In a separate post titled, ‘Our chance for national rebirth’, el-Rufai urged on the people of Kaduna not to lose hope.
He noted that the nation was not yet where it ought to be but with purposeful leadership, things would get better.
The governor subsequently pardoned some convicted prisoners.
He said, “On this occasion, the Kaduna State government decided to extend mercy to prisoners. Pursuant to Section 212 of the constitution, the prerogative of mercy was exercised in favour of 14 prisoners.
“The government commuted the death sentences of five convicts, who will now serve prison time. Five prisoners serving sentences of three years and above were released on the basis of good behaviour or time served already.
“In addition, three prisoners were released on the basis on age while one person was released due to ill health. In doing our duty to show mercy, the government warns that it will not tolerate crime and threats to security.”
He said one of the highpoint of the last 55 years was the 2015 general elections which saw the defeat of his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party, and the victory of the All Progressives Congress which will ensure the needed change.
He thanked Nigerians, specifically the people of Kaduna for voting for change and steering the nation to the path of greatness.
El-Rufai said, “We can celebrate because 2015 is the year that the people of this country decided it was time to begin the rebirth of a nation. Against the most concerted campaign ever mounted by a government to divide the people it was meant to lead, Nigerians refused to be set against one another.
“I pay tribute to the many sacrifices that were made to make the historic elections of this year possible. What the voters of 2015 did was to make democracy a bulwark of patriotism. In other words, the people cast their votes for their country. May we never again be saddled with people who (rated) themselves above the country.”
The former minister said education remained the key to development.
He, therefore, declared a state of emergency in the education sector.
He said, “Education is emancipation! Education is freedom from want and disease! The provision of free basic education in decent schools and with skilled teachers is one of the priorities this government will accomplish in its four-year term.
“We have spent the past few months planning school repairs, the provision of school furniture and the training of teachers. Today, we move to declare a state of emergency in education. We ask for your support as we begin to implement extraordinary measures in the educational sector.”

This Guy Quit His Job To Break A Selfie World Record

Recently, 24-year-old Bhanu Prakash decided to do the impossible and break the world record for the most selfies taken in one hour.  Hyderabad, from India, has set out to break the world record for the most selfies taken in an hour. He is so dedicated that in August he quit his job as a research assistant at a hospital to train. (Crazy, right?)
NFL player Patrick Peterson currently holds the record for the most selfies with an astounding amount of 1,449 selfies taken in one hour.

Believe or not, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson sparked Prakash’s interest in the whole selfie craze.
In an interview with, Bhanu stated and i quote,
"I was on my way back home, and a few guys were talking about Dwayne Johnson’s record of 105 selfies in three minutes. When I reached home, I did some research work for the application process and fell in love with selfies" end of quote.
So far, Prakash has been able to 1,700 selfies in one hour, but his goal is to try and take 1,800 selfies in the same time frame. To prepare for the actual attempt to get into the Guinness Book of World Records, he has been doing various hand and wrist exercises in addition to getting himself a tripod and selfie stick to practice his selfie talking at different angles.
Bhanu’s family has been nothing but support of his efforts to break the world record. He said his parents were initially disappointed that he quit his job for this, but eventually they accepted it. In fact, they’re happy that he’s trying something new and unique.

President Buhari’s Independence Day speech

October 1st is a day for joy and celebrations for us Nigerians, whatever the circumstances we find ourselves in because it is the day, 55 years ago; we liberated ourselves from the shackles of colonialism and began our long march to nationhood and to greatness.
“No temporary problems or passing challenges should stop us from honouring this day. Let us remind ourselves of the gifts God has given us. Our Creator has bequeathed to us Numbers – Nigeria is the ninth most populated country on the planet. We have in addition arable land; water; forests; oil and gas; coastline; and solid minerals
“We have all the attributes of a great nation. We are not there yet because the one commodity we have been unable to exploit to the fullest is unity of purpose. This would have enabled us to achieve not only more orderly political evolution and integration but also continuity and economic progress.
“Countries far less endowed have made greater economic progress by greater coherence and unity of purpose.
“Nonetheless, that we have remained together is an achievement we should all appreciate and try to consolidate. We have witnessed this year a change in our democratic development.
“The fact that an opposition party replaced an entrenched government in a free and fair election is indicative of the deeper roots of our democratic system. Whatever one’s views are, Nigerians must thank former President Jonathan for not digging-in in the face of defeat and thereby saving the country untold consequences.
“As I said in my inaugural speech, I bear no ill will against anyone on past events. Nobody should fear anything from me. We are not after anyone. People should only fear the consequences of their actions. I hereby invite everyone, whatever his or her political view to join me in working for the nation.
“My countrymen and women, every new government inherits problems. Ours was no different. But what Nigerians want are solutions, quick solutions not a recitation of problems inherited.
“Accordingly, after consultations with the Vice President, senior party leaders and other senior stakeholders, I quickly got down to work on the immediate, medium-term and long-term problems which we must solve if we are to maintain the confidence which Nigerians so generously bestowed on us in the March elections and since then.
“As you know, I toured the neighbouring countries, marshalled a coalition of armed forces of the five nations to confront and defeat Boko Haram. I met also the G-7 leaders and other friendly presidents in an effort to build an international coalition against Boko Haram.
“Our gallant armed forces under new leadership have taken the battle to the insurgents, and severely weakened their logistical and infrastructural capabilities. Boko Haram are being scattered and are on the run.
“That they are resorting to shameless attacks on soft targets such as I.D.P. camps is indicative of their cowardice and desperation. I have instructed security and local authorities to tighten vigilance in vulnerable places.
On power, government officials have held a series of long sessions over several weeks about the best way to improve the nation’s power supply in the safest and most cost-effective way.
“In the meantime, improvement in the power supply is moderately encouraging. By the same token, supply of petrol and kerosene to the public has improved throughout the country. All the early signs are that within months the whole country would begin to feel a change for the better.
“Preliminary steps have been taken to sanitize NNPC and improve its operations so that the inefficiency and corruption could be reduced to a minimum.
“Those of our refineries which can be serviced and brought back into partial production would be enabled to resume operations so that the whole sordid business of exporting crude and importing finished products in dubious transactions could be stopped.
“In addition to NNPC, I have ordered a complete audit of our other revenue generating agencies mainly CBN, FIRS, Customs, NCC, for better service delivery to the nation. Prudent house-keeping is needed now more than ever in view of the sharp decline in world market oil prices. It is a challenge we have to face squarely. But what counts is not so much what accrues but how we manage our resources.
“We have seen in the last few years how huge resources were mismanaged, squandered and wasted. The new APC government is embarking on a clean up, introducing prudence and probity in public financing.
“At an early stage, the federal government addressed the issue of salary arrears in many states, a situation capable of degenerating into social unrest. The APC government stepped in to provide short-term support to the debtor states and enabled them to pay off the backlog and restore the livelihood of millions of Nigerians.
“Fellow Nigerians, there have been a lot of anxiety and impatience over the apparent delay in announcement of ministers. There is no cause to be anxious. Our government set out to do things methodically and properly. We received the handing over notes from the outgoing government only four days before taking over. Consequently, the Joda Transition Committee submitted its Report on the reorganization of Federal Government structure after studying the hand over notes. It would have been haphazard to announce ministers when the government had not finalized the number of ministries to optimally carry the burden of governance.
“Anyway, the wait is over. The first set of names for ministerial nominees for confirmation has been sent to the senate. Subsequent lists will be forwarded in due course. Impatience is not a virtue. Order is more vital than speed. Careful and deliberate decisions after consultations get far better results. And better results for our country is what the APC government for CHANGE is all about.
“I would like to end my address this morning on our agenda for CHANGE. Change does not just happen. You and I and all of us must appreciate that we all have our part to play if we want to bring change about. We must change our lawless habits, our attitude to public office and public trust. We must change our unruly behaviour in schools, hospitals, market places, motor parks, on the roads, in homes and offices. To bring about change, we must change ourselves by being law-abiding citizens.
“Happy Independence Celebrations. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
